Service and Application Engineer
Aberlink Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Service and Application Engineer to support their range of metrology products throughout the UK.
This position will offer a varied and challenging role with significant responsibility, including: repair service and calibration of Aberlink CMMs and could also include overseas travel supporting foreign agents, and training customers if these additional aspects job aspects appeal.
Based in Eastcombe near Stroud, in Gloucestershire, you will be required to travel extensively within the UK.
Previous CMM experience would be advantageous, although not essential, as full training would be given. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering and problem solving. Some knowledge of motion control would also be useful.
Due to the nature of the position, this is not a 9-5 role. It will also require good communication skills to create the right impression as the face of Aberlink.
Other roles could include assisting with the set up and break down of exhibitions, and the ability to perform demonstrations of the equipment to potential customers.
A full driving licence will be essential.
Mechanical Assembly Engineer
Required to build precision measuring products and occasionally assist with install and servicing within the UK. Applicants would ideally have a mechanical/engineering background as well as an aptitude for problem solving to fill a challenging and responsible position within our production team. Applicants need to be computer literate and used to working under pressure to meet deadlines.
