Service and Applications Engineer (North England)

Aberlink Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Service and Application Engineer to support their range of metrology products throughout the UK.

This position will offer a varied and challenging role with significant responsibility, including: repair service and calibration of Aberlink CMMs and could also include overseas travel supporting foreign agents and training customers if these additional aspects job aspects appeal.

Ideally based in North England, you will be required to travel extensively within the UK.

Previous CMM experience would be advantageous, although not essential, as full training would be given. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical engineering and problem solving. Some knowledge of motion control would also be useful.

Due to the nature of the position, this is not a 9-5 role. It will also require good communication skills to create the right impression as the face of Aberlink.

Other roles could include assisting with the set up and break down of exhibitions, and the ability to perform demonstrations of the equipment to potential customers.

A full driving licence will be essential.

CNC Programmer/Setter

We are looking for a progressive and well-motivated individual with CNC machining experience to help us develop innovative machining methods and processes.

As we’re a small machine shop a wide range of duties are expected including the programming, setting, operating of CNC milling machines and lathes with Fanuc controllers. Knowledge of CAD systems will be advantageous but not essential, as training will be given.

Finance and Accounts Assistant

Based in Stroud, Gloucestershire, this is a varied and challenging role, one which will utilise your proven finance, accounting and credit control skills and expertise.

Working for a well-established manufacturing employer, you will have responsibility for all generic accounting and finance functions. This position is a varied and challenging role, with significant responsibility. Duties will include:

  • Raising customer invoices
  • Managing purchase ledger
  • Responsibilities for credit control
  • The management of employee expenses

As a Finance and Accounts Assistant, as part of wider team and able to meet all regulated and operational targets and deadlines. Naturally you will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, previous working knowledge of accounting software systems ideally Sage and MS Office Suite for all reporting recording and internal/external communication.

Mechanical Assembler

Required to build precision measuring products. Applicants would ideally have a mechanical/engineering background as well as an aptitude for problem solving to fill a challenging and responsible position within our production team. Applicants need to be computer literate and used to working under pressure to meet deadlines.
