Aberlink Ltd, the largest UK-owned manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines, have been selected as the preferred metrology supplier to support the forthcoming 54th National Skills Competition (2019) in Busan, South Korea.
Taking place for 8 days in October (4th-11th) across 6 stadiums (including Busan BEXCO) and hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labour, Busan Metropolitan City and the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education; the National Skills Competition contributes to the advancement of industrial development and acts as a platform to allow individuals to promote and raise their skillset and profile.
Covering 7 distinct industries and 50 occupations such as Polymechanics, Mechanical Design, Prototype Modelling, Industrial Robotics, CAD and CNC Milling, the overall winner of the competition is awarded a generous cash prize.
More importantly, the winner is given the opportunity to participate in the annual World Skills Olympics in 2020 which aims to give recognition of skilled people and highlight how important skills are in achieving economic growth on a global stage.
Aberlink, through its South Korean distributor, KM Trading, are to supply 3 leading-edge, high-accuracy Axiom too CNC CMMs complete with fully automated probe heads and the world-renowned Aberlink 3D measurement software, to allow participants to carry out precision measurements on products they produce during the competition.
KM Trading's team of skilled metrology professionals and engineers will be on hand during the event to assist in the control and management of the Aberlink CMMs to ensure participants receive quick, accurate measurement results and hopefully putting them on a path to victory!
