The largest UK owned Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) manufacturer, Aberlink Innovative Metrology caused quite a stir at the recent Control 2013 International Trade Fair by introducing several advanced new products.

Pride of place on the impressive 156sqm exhibition stand was given to a preproduction model of the new Aberlink range of larger CMMs. Offering 1.2m of travel in the X-axis, 1.0m in the Z-axis and up to 4m in the Y-axis, Aberlink Agents and Distributors from all over the world were able to see the eagerly anticipated CMM in action and to appreciate its innovative features prior to its launch later this year. In addition to many other attributes, Aberlink's new larger CMMs have been designed to optimise the measurement capability of Renishaw's REVO probe head. The REVO demonstration stopped visitors as they were mesmerised by the machine and probe head working in unison throughout the exhibition.

Also making its debut was the V4 version of Aberlink's popular 3D software. Used across the entire Aberlink range and by many other global metrology companies, the user-friendly software has recently undergone its most significant development phase. Featuring a dynamic user interface, faster program execution and unlimited feature measurement, Aberlink 3D now supports PH20 probe head measurement and SP25M Scanning.

The advanced new Aberlink 3D software interface provides users with only those tools relevant to the task in hand. Aberlink's approach to 'clean' user interface design ensures that the screen is kept clear of unnecessary toolbars and icons, making the software easier to use and more productive. Aberlink claim that the improved data exchange and connectivity to other devices, has rendered its 3D metrology software the multi-device platform of the future.

Popular throughout the world, another highlight of the Aberlink stand was the company's range of Zenith too CMMs demonstrating SP25M scanning and the Axiom too range of CMMs demonstrating the measurement capability of the revolutionary Renishaw PH20 probe head.

Aberlink's Business Development Manager, Chris Davies enthused: "Control 2013 was an overwhelming success for Aberlink. The nine regional sales managers of our German dealer and the Aberlink staff in attendance were kept busy throughout the course of the exhibition demonstrating Aberlink products. In addition to logging an impressive amount of both domestic and international enquiries, a substantial amount of business was closed during the show. Our many international dealers were very impressed with our latest Aberlink offerings. Each have returned to their respective countries enthused by the greater sales potential of our ever expanding product range."
